CCS appoints 3 principals to new posts

Catawba County Schools officials announced the hiring of three new principals on Tuesday for Fred T. Foard High, Mountain View Elementary and Catawba Elementary schools.

All of the newly named principals are currently employed by Catawba County Schools (CCS) in different parts of the county.

• Chris Gibbs, current principal at Claremont Elementary School, replaces longtime teacher and community leader Sally Bradshaw as principal at Fred T. Foard High School.

• Dyanne Sherrill, current principal at Banoak Elementary School, replaces Debbie Yount as the principal of Mountain View Elementary School.

• Todd Sudderth was officially named principal of Catawba Elementary School.
