Catawba Regional Hospice hosts tree lighting events

December 18, 2012

At Christmas tree lightings on Dec. 13 and 14, Catawba Regional Hospice honored patients and family members who have been served during the past year.

Hosted at three locations — the Catawba Valley Hospice House, the Sherrills Ford Hospice House, and the Hospice Thrift Store – the receptions featured remarks by chaplain Kim Fox-Dowell, benefactor Truitt Beard, and thrift store manager Jamie Icard.

Guests were treated to homemade cookies and punch, along with Christmas carols and other seasonal songs performed by a musical ensemble from Concordia Christian Day School.
