Catawba County crime reports

A Chihuahua was shot with a BB gun in Claremont, and thieves took a four-wheeler in Conover, among other crimes reported this week by the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.

Suspects stole an aluminum dock board and fork life squeeze plate from a loading dock at the Carter Factory Closeout Inc. at 2023 Wagon Lane NE in Conover. The items are valued at a combined total of about $1,000.

Thieves took a four-wheeler and other various items from the back of a pick-up truck parked in a car port at Abbot Plumbing near 4567 Charlotte St. in Conover. The 1984 gray four-wheeler is valued at $1,500.

Suspects stole more than $1,000 in jewelry from a residence belonging to Gwendolyn Robinson Ferguson, 50, of Conover, at 2010 Breana Court in Conover.

On Tuesday, a man used a BB gun to shoot a Chihuahua belonging to Willie Lee Barnwell, 40, of 3656 Oakwood Ave. in Claremont.

Suspects broke into a residence belonging to Ebony Leontra Smith, 25, of 7897 Adaline Lane in Sherrills Ford and stole a $2,500 Princess Diana 14-karat gold necklace and $7,500 diamond ring.
