The following are recent arrests and incidents in Catawba County.

Arrests

Feb. 25
Terri Lee Lanning, 44, of Hickory, was arrested on a charge of making harassing phone calls. She was held on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

Feb. 24
Juston Scott Benge, 16, of Hickory, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge. He was released with a written promise to appear in court.

Andrew William Brightman, 25, of Hickory, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge. He was released with a written promise to appear in court

Donna Lisa Porter, 42, of Claremont, was arrested on a charge of contempt of court perjury and court violations. She was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $2,000 secured bond.

Rubin Eugene Williams, 61, of Claremont, was arrested on a charge of contempt of court perjury and court violations. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $10,000 secured bond.

Brandon Eric Watson, 26, of Lenoir, was arrested on contempt of court perjury and court violations. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $3,000 secured bond.

Joseph Henry Shell, 56, of Hickory, was arrested on charges of non-support/non-payment of alimony. He was held in the Newton Detention Center on a $222 secured bond.

Incidents

Feb. 26
Someone stole a firearm from 3381 Rant Drum Road in Maiden. The gun was valued at $150.

Feb. 26
Suspects stole nearly $9,800 in jewelry and $3,000 in electronics from a home at 1756 Ashley St. in Newton.

Feb. 25
Someone stole a shotgun, jewelry and crystal ware from a home at 3668 Bridal Path in Vale. Stolen items were valued at nearly $1,500.

Feb. 22
Suspects stole a car stereo with a screen that was worth $550 and a Garmin GPS and charger worth $160 from a vehicle in the 9500 block of Sherrills Ford Road in Terrell.

Feb. 22
An unknown suspect stole a trailer from property at 3950 Hall Dairy Road in Claremont. Items stolen included a $7,000 utility trailer, a $10,000 zero-turn mower and a $150 air compressor.

Feb. 20
Thieves took two Apple iPods worth a combined $440 and nearly $11,000 in jewelry from a home at 5400 Little Parkway in Sherrills Ford.

Feb. 9
Unknown suspects took fuel from a trailer fuel tank and took trailer wiring harnesses from Truck and Trailer Repair Inc. in Hickory. The suspects stole an estimated $200 in fuel and $2,400 in wiring harnesses.
