Catawba County arrests, incidents

The Catawba County Sheriff's Office reported the following incidents and arrests this week.

Arrests

April 26
* Rodney Adam Stanus, 45, of Hickory, was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of conveyance and criminal damage to property (vandalism). He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

April 25
* Deniko Sims Marcus, 21, of Hickory, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon and possesion with intent to sell and deliver. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $10,000 secured bond.
* Todd Anthony Propst, 43, of Claremont, was arrested on a charge of driving while license revoked. He was held on a $500 secured bond.

April 24
* Rachel Darlene Setzer, 45, of Claremont, was arrested on charges of possession of stolen goods. She was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $500 secured bond.
* Brandon Alex Whisnant, 27, of Newton, was arrested on charges of FTA-driving while license revoked and FTA-operate vehicle with no insurance. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $600 secured bond
* Randy Allen McDonald, 43, of Conover, was arrested on charges of non-support/non-payment of alimony. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $600 secured bond.

April 23
* Sherry Marie Grubbs, 30, of Newton, was arrested on a charge of FTA-worthless check. She was held in the Catawba County Detention Facility on a $1,000 secured bond.
* Michael Ray Bowen, 31, of Hickory, was arrested on a charge of second-degree trespassing. He was held in the Catawba County Detenion Facility on a $500 secured bond.

April 10
* Jamar Antonio Martin, 22, of Hickory, was arrested on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and serious injury, and assault and battery. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $500,000 secured bond.
* Larquae Travon McCathern McCorkle, 20, of Hickory, was arrested on charges of assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill and serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $100,000 secured bond.

April 8
* Antonio Markel Hewitt, 21, of Hickory, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond.

April 6
* Kitiara Leshaun Wright, 19, of Hickory, was arrested on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon. She has a $1,500 unsecured bond.

* Edward Wayne Linberger, 50, of Catawba, was arrested on drug violations, escape from custody or resist arrest and paraphernalia-possessing/concealing. He was held in the Newton Detention Center on a $15,000 secured bond.
* Tracey Dervell Withers, 45, of Hickory, was arrested on traffic charges (except DWI). He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $575 secured bond.
* Chasity Lana Isenhour, 38, of Claremont, was arrested on charges of unauthorized use of conveyance. She signed a written promise to appear.

Incidents

April 25
* Thieves used forcible entry and removed items from 7916 River Bend Road in Claremont. Suspects stole $460 worth of items including push lawnmowers, aluminum levels and a skill saw.
* Thieves stole property from 3941 Section House Road in Hickory. An estimated $1,325 worth of goods were stolen.
* Thieves stole property from a boat dock on 3116 47th Ave. Lane NE in Hickory. A $2,500 green/purple jet ski was stolen.
* Thieves stole a utility trailer and lawn mower from 4533 Macedonia Church Road in Vale. An estimated $3,280 worth of items were stolen, including a utility trailer, riding mower and black metal house number marker.
* Thieves stole a car from 4034 Brickfield St. in Hickory. An $8,000 grey Honda Accord was stolen.
* Suspects damaged a storage building on 8576 N.C. 150 in Terrell. Someone stole a white steel door worth $150.

April 23
* Thieves broke into a work truck and stole numerous items from 4947 Caleb Road in Maiden. Suspects also stole $3,000 worth of goods, including digital cameras, nail guns, a concrete cutoff saw, cordless drill and a laser level.
* Thieves stole electricity from a victim on 3513 Ole Country Lane in Claremont.
* Thieves stole a victim's deceased husband's Social Security number and tax refund check. The IRS refund check was worth $1,450.

April 20
* An unknown suspect took a vehicle without permission from 4491 Rock Barn Road in Claremont. The suspect also stole a 42-inch TV worth $800, a 38-inch TV worth $300, clothing worth $2,000, a dryer worth $300 and a washer worth $200.
