Catawba County arrests, incidents

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.

Arrests
*Jerome Mikal Gray, 17, of Hickory, was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of conveyance. He was held in the Newton Detention Center on a $1,000 secured bond.

*Marcus Lee Gibbs, 30, of Claremont, was arrested on charges of non-support/non-payment of alimony. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $1,000 secured bond.

*Matthew Allen Dellinger, 25, of Maiden, was arrested on charges of contempt of court perjury and court violations. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $1,000 secured bond.

*Jeffery Scott Ramsey, 32, of Newton, was arrested on charges of non-support/non-payment of alimony. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $1,000 secured bond.

*Ashton Tom Fern, 22, of Hickory, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle with no insurance and driving while license revoked. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $50 secured bond.
*Jonathan Garret Helms, 19, of Claremont, was arrested on reckless driving charges. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $750 secured bond.

*Taji Shareff Haqq, 29, of Newton, was arrested on charges of selling cocaine, possession with intent to sell cocaine and conspiring to sell cocaine. He was held in the Catawba County Detention Center on a $125,000 secured bond.

Incident
*Thieves took a metal business sign from 5380 WA Woodward Drive in Maiden. The sign was worth about $250.
