After a week off, the Catawba County Hornets semi-pro football team is back in action this Saturday when it travels to take on the Richmond County Golden Bears (0-3).

The Hornets are coming off of a thrilling 6-0 victory over the Iredell Warriors two weeks ago — the team’s first win against Warriors in its last 16 tries.

The Golden Bears lost a heartbreaker this past Saturday in the closing seconds against Stanley County, 34-30.

Catawba County is tied atop the CCFL standings with a 2-0 record with the Carolina Renegades and Morganton Bobcats.

Game time Saturday is set for 7 p.m.
