Carving culture in the Catawba Valley

The making of sculptures in wood has been practiced around the world for many years and has maintained an important element of art history in many cultures. Woodcarvers are artists that let their expression shine through the different sculptures and intricate details they make. The Catawba Valley Woodcarving Club's purpose is to promote an interest in woodcarving for all levels and ages to encourage creativity within their pieces. The club has been open since December of 1998.
