Bucs upset third-ranked Flyers at Wake Tech Classic

The Catawba Valley Community College men's basketball team picked up a huge win Saturday, knocking off Sandhills Community College 84-80 during the first day of the Wake Tech Classic.

Entering Saturday's game, Sandhills Community College was ranked third among Div. III National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) teams.

Sophomore Preston Earle led CVCC (7-4) in the victory with 20 points, while Isaiah Cuthbertson chipped in 16 points.

Reggie Washington scored a game-high 23 points for the Flyers (11-2).
