Bandys High School has called for a noon press conference on Tuesday to name only its fifth football coach in the past 49 years.

After head coach Randy Lowman decided to step down as head football coach after 26 years, as well as athletic director effective Dec. 31, Bandys High School announced it would have a replacement named either this past Friday or this Tuesday.

The school also plans to announce a new athletic director during the press conference on Tuesday, as well, to fill Lowman's voided position.

Seven current Bandys assistant coaches could be in line for the head coaching job. Among these include Lowman's two sons, Trent and Kyle.

Also on the short list of in-house caniddates are Lowman's longtime assistant coach Jim Goodwin and current Bandys assistant coaches Eric McCombs, Scott Stilwell, Frank Porter, Chris Fulbright and Brandon Finger.

The next coach announced Tuesday will join a list of longtime gridiron leaders at Bandys, including Dick Foster (1964-77), Randy Burroughs (1978-83), Tony Paroli (1984-86) and Randy Lowman (1987-2012).
