Charlotte Bobcats guard Ramon Session will be out 2-4 weeks after suffering a second degree MCL sprain in his left knee, the team announced on Thursday.

Sessions suffered the knee injury during Wednesday night's 99-78 loss to Brooklyn. He scored nine points in 20 minutes against the Nets and left the court under his own control.

After the game, Sessions complained of severe knee pain, and an MRI on Thursday revealed the significance of his injury.

The team said in a statement that Sessions' meniscus and other ligaments are intact and no surgery is needed.

In 61 games this season (all off of the bench), Sessions is averaging 14.4 points per contest — the team's second-leading scorer behind only second-year guard Kemba Walker.

Logging 27.1 minutes per game, Sessions has also averaged 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds for the 'Cats this season.

Sessions, a Myrtle Beach, S.C. native, signed with the Bobcats during this past offseason after spending last year with the Los Angeles Lakers.
