The CVYSA boys soccer team continues a stellar season on the field.

The U11 team, which mostly includes students who attend Shuford Elementary and Newton-Conover Middle School, is undefeated in play since August.

Along the undefeated path, the Blast won the Piedmont Division in the fall, including an Autumn Blast postseason tournament title.

This spring, the team switched to the West Division, winning a league title with a perfect record.
Recently, the Blast won the Galaxy Shootout on April 28-29 in Hickory and a King of the Hill tournament May 5-6 in Boone.

Members of the team include Garrison Hamby, Angel Rojas, Davis Biggerstaff, Ben Hinshaw, Tom Ellis, Randy Martinez, Bran Reid, Bryan Chavez, Jason Moreno, Jordan Bolling, Connor Winn and Andrew Bolick.
The team is coached by Scottie Goforth.

The Blast holds tryouts May 21-24 at Henry Fork soccer complex for next year’s team.
Registration for the team is also available online at www.cvysa.org.
