Boy Scout Show this weekend

The annual “Scout Show” will be held on Saturday, May 4, from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m. at the American Legion Fairgrounds on U.S. 70 in Newton.

The event, organized by the Lakeland District of the Piedmont Council, Boy Scouts of America, will involve Scouts and volunteer leaders from across Catawba County in an effort to practice scout skills and introduce families to the activities that Scouting offers.   

This event is free to the public, and provides an excellent opportunity for the community and youth to experience interactive displays of scouting from the area.
