Catawba County emergency crews recovered the body of a man who disappeared while fishing along the Catawba River.

Two family members went out to look for Zoua Pa Chang early Thursday and found his body floating about 150 yards downstream from Lookout Shoals Dam.

The 30-year-old was last seen Tuesday evening fishing with a friend on the rocks at the base of the dam. The men separated as they were fishing and  friend Ignacio Xiong never saw Chang again.
