Tied 2-2 late in Friday's South Atlantic League contest, the Lakewood BlueClaws got a timely hit from Brock Stassi to pick up a 3-2 victory over the Hickory Crawdads.

Stassi's single in the bottom of the ninth plated catcher Gabriel Lino, who reached base earlier in the inning on a walk.

Hickory (14-8 in the second half, 50-41 overall) scored its only two runs of the game in the top of the third inning.

Rougned Odor plated a run on a one-out single to left field, while Chris Grayson came across home to plate the other run on a passed ball by Lino.

The BlueClaws (12-10, 39-52) plated runs in the back-to-back innings on the third and fourth, including a Maikel Franco RBI single in the third. Tim Carver came across home to plate a run in the fourth on a passed ball from 'Dads catcher Jorge Alfaro.

The Crawdads start a new four-game road series on Saturday at Delmarva. The team returns to L.P. Frans Stadium on Thursday to match up with the BlueClaws again.
