A Conover man is dead and two others are hospitalized after a car crashed into a tree on Lee Cline Road Thursday night.

Troopers say Lorenzo Antwan Baker was driving north on Lee Cline Road toward Springs Road at a high speed when his 1999 Saturn crossed the centerline coming around a curve.
