Lenoir-Rhyne suffered its first loss of the season Saturday, and it wants to bounce back this week with a win at home.
The Bears play the Davidson Wildcats at 7 p.m. Saturday in Hickory. Lenoir-Rhyne is 1-1 this season, and Davidson is 0-1 after a 20-10 season-opening loss to Georgetown. The Bears lost 20-17 on Saturday to Concord.
This is the 20th meeting between Davidson and Lenoir-Rhyne, and the two teams have met every year since 2004. The series is tied at 8-8-1. The Bears evened the series in 2009 with a 42-0 win at Davidson, but the Wildcats won the past two games at Moretz Stadium.
