BB&T closes branch

October 11, 2012

BB&T currently operates approximately 1,800 branches in 12 states and the District of Columbia. BB&T constantly reviews and evaluates the viability, convenience and physical conditions of its financial centers to make certain they meet clients’ needs, provide a leading role in the community as well as maintain its fiduciary responsibility to its shareholders. BB&T closely reviews all options before making the decision to consolidate or close a financial center.

After careful consideration, including client usage patterns, it was decided that BB&T can best serve the Newton/Conover area by consolidating the branch at 2004 N. Main Ave. in Newton with branches located at 12 N. Main Ave. and 202 First Ave. South in Conover.
