Thunderstorms cleared just in time for Bandys High School to hold its annual Agriculture Day. The fact filled day began at 9 a.m. as Future Farmers of America students and Bandys teachers navigated eight elementary schools through each of the stations.
Agriculture science teacher Laura Parker said would not only include elementary school students, but also the high school students learning and participating in a scavenger hunt in the afternoon. The day continued until 6 p.m., with an alumni barbecue as well as other tours given throughout the day.
For the event, 70 Bandys agriculture students participated in bringing their own animals, presenting information and helping to navigate the elementary students. Parker said the presentations were 15 to 20 minutes long and were solely led by the agriculture students. Two Bandys students were assigned to each station during the event.
