Authorities chase suspect from Claremont to Hickory

Authorities say they chased a man from Claremont to Hickory on Thursday morning after he threatened his girlfriend, said he had a gun and stole her motorcycle.

Wilbern Carlos Springs, 36, of Deal Road in Claremont, faces child support non-compliance and non-support of child charges after he was arrested Thursday in Hickory.

Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid said Springs will face more charges following Thursday's chase.
