Pumpkin carver Tim Trudgeon is especially busy in September and October. After hand-carving a trailer full of pumpkins at different events across the state, he drives to his home in Mocksville, and loads up the trailer again.

This weekend he was headed to Murray’s Mill in Catawba to demonstrate his craft.

“I have two daughters and one Halloween I challenged them to carve a three-dimensional face into one of their jack-o-lanterns,” Trudgeon told Observer News Enterprise.
