Area officers bound for DNC

While the rest of the county takes a breath for Labor Day, Catawba County police officers are volunteering to serve at the Democratic National Convention. The convention festivities start Sept. 3 and continue until Sept. 6. During the week speakers, and visitors will flood Charlotte and Catawba County police will be there to protect and monitor the scene.
