With all of its roster, Hickory battles Cherryville

With a complete roster of players, Hickory Post 48 went to battle on Tuesday night against rival Cherryville at Henkel-Alley Field at the American Legion Fairgrounds.

Fresh off their 2A title series appearance, Bunker Hill players Colton Chapman, Cameron Chapman and Jordan Eckard all started in the contest.

Despite a 7-3 lead in the late going of the contest, Hickory gave up four runs in the final few innings to send the contest into extra innings.

The two teams were tied 10-10 in the middle of the 10th inning.

Cherryville scored two in the top of the 11th inning to come away with a 12-10 victory.
