Three prep tennis teams from across Catawba County are in the 2A and 3A dual team playoffs.

Newton-Conover and Bandys qualified from the CVAC, while Hickory made the 3A playoffs.

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association released the pairings officially on Monday.

Two of those three teams are in action at home today. The Red Devils (17-3) host North Lincoln (11-2), while the Red Tornadoes (11-1) welcome Jay M. Robinson (12-2). Both matches are scheduled for 4 p.m.

Due to conference priority, the Red Devils will be at home throughout the duration of their dual team playoff appearance through the state championships.

Bandys (10-4) drew a wild card spot and travels to Salisbury (13-3), where the winner of that match meets the winner of Newton-Conover and North Lincoln in the second round next Tuesday.

Either Hickory or Jay M. Robinson meets the winner of Asheville (7-8) and Weddington (11-4) also slated for next Tuesday.
