January 31, 2014

CONOVER — Twenty-seven sex offenders who preyed upon local children were successfully prosecuted in 2013, thanks to the work of the Children’s Advocacy and Protection Center of Catawba County, local law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office.

This number represents a 100 percent conviction rate for cases investigated by law enforcement, serviced by the CAPC and prosecuted by the District Attorney’s Office.
