After two shutouts to start the season, the Newton-Conover football program was rewarded for its play on Tuesday.
The Red Devils are ranked 10th in the first Associated Press poll of the season, which was released on Tuesday afternoon.
The poll is voted on by a statewide panel of prep sports writers.
