Marvin David Hutson 87, of Lincolnton passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. The Hutson family has entrusted arrangements to Jenkins Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Newton.
Chief Steve Brewer and the Conover Police Department were recognized on Tuesday during the 12th Annual Greater Hickory Kia Classic Media Day.
Brewer and his department were presented with the Champions Award for their service during the tournamentâs 12 years.

Brandon Keith Dunning, 29, of 721 West C Street, Newton was arrested and charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to Newton police.
