Since a 4-2 loss on Aug. 23 to Statesville, the Newton-Conover boys soccer team has been simply unstoppable.
The Red Devils sent their seniors out in style on Wednesday, defeating rival Maiden 4-1 on "Senior Night" at Gurley Stadium.

Red Devil quarterback Cameron Stanley threw four interceptions in a 49-28 loss to East Lincoln on Friday night.
Newton-Conover falls to 6-1-1 overall on the season and 3-1-0 in conference games.
Bandys defeated Maiden on the football field Friday at Blue Devil Stadium and in the process, gave its head coach some history to go along with the rivalry victory.
Trent Lowman became the first Trojan in history to defeat the Blue Devils as both a player and a coach in Bandysâ€™ 29-21 win against Maiden.
