Hunter Harvey is a baseball All-Star.
Nearly a year after being drafted with the 22nd pick in the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft, the former Bandys High standout will start in the 2014 South Atlantic League All-Star Game at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory on June 17.
The North Carolina High School Athletic Association released the schedule for the best-of-three prep baseball state championship series involving Bunker Hill High School.
The 2A and 4A state title series were both assigned to UNC-Greensboro Stadium.
The Bears (26-5) face Midway (25-4) in game one starting Friday at 8 p.m. at UNC-Greensboro's Stadium.

Jimmie Johnson won the pole for the 55th Annual Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday, as the six-time Sprint Cup Series champion seeks his first victory of the 2014 season.
Johnson turned a lap of 27.705 (194.911 mph), which was 0.049 better than Brad Keselowski.
The pole for Johnson is his fourth at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 26 races and first since 2009.
