The Carolina Heat picked up a 13-3 upset victory against the Lincoln County Cardinals on Monday night.
Pitcher Chris Aronis led the Heat (3-9, 3-9) in the win by throwing seven innings, allowing six hits and striking out four Lincoln County batters.
Aronis also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk and an RBI. Aronis' three hits were part of 13 base knocks for the Heat.
Tied 9-9 in the middle of the sixth inning, Hickory Post 48 scored four runs in the gameâ€™s final 3.5 innings to come away with a 13-9 victory against Cherryville on Friday night.

Mangum was approved as a high school teacher on Monday by the Alexander County School Board and also named the next girls basketball coach at ACHS.
