KERNERSVILLE — Maiden's Corbin Boyles added another title to his already impressive resumé on Saturday

The Blue Devil junior won the 2A cross-country state championship held at the Redmon Sports Complex.

Lady Bucs win the Region X/District P championship

The Catawba Valley Community College women's volleyball team won the Region X/District P championship at Saturday at the Tarlton Complex.

The Lady Bucs, who improve to 39-0 on the season, defeated Wake Tech in three sets (25-14, 25-17, 25-9) to advance to the championship final.

QB Chazz Surratt scores 5 TDs in romp of Blue Devils

DENVER — With the SD-7 title at stake, Chazz Surratt had possibly his best game of the season on Friday.

The Mustangs sophomore signal-caller scored five total touchdowns, including four on the ground, in a 42-0 rout of Maiden at David Clark Stadium.

PREP FOOTBALL: Spartans shut out Tigers on road

NEWTON — South Caldwell tallied 386 yards of total offense in a 36-0 victory against Fred T. Foard at Tiger Stadium on Friday.

Trevar Soles led the Spartans with a pair of touchdown runs, including from 10 and 2 yards out.
