Indians use chemistry to remain perfect, advance

HICKORY — The St. Stephens volleyball team remained perfect on the season Tuesday with a 3-0 victory against North Henderson in the second round of the 3A playoffs.

The Lady Indians improve to 25-0 on the season.

Maiden's Alex White accepted, commits to Harvard

Last week couldn't have went better for Alex White.

The Maiden tight end and linebacker found out he was accepted to Harvard University, where he has verbally committed.

White is the second Catawba County athlete to commit to Harvard in the past two years. St. Stephens' Sava Turcanu is swimming for the Crimson this fall.
