BREAKING: Browns hire Panthers' Chudzinski

Rob Chudzinski is returning home to his NFL roots.

The Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator has accepted the Cleveland Brown's head coaching position.

Chudzinski, who got his start in the NFL as a tight ends coach with the Browns in 2004 and the team's offensive coordinator from 2007-08, replaces Pat Shurmur as Cleveland head coach.

Johnson growing in first season with Red Devils

Freshman Alex Johnson is growing in his first season as a member of the Newton-Conover boys basketball program.

Johnson is one of a six freshmen boys listed on the varsity prep basketball rosters of the seven Catawba County high schools.

Bobcats feel the blues in 112-102 loss to Jazz

Coming off of an overtime road win against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday having won two of their last three games, things couldn't have looked brighter for the Charlotte Bobcats.

That was until Wednesday's match up with the Western Conference foe Utah.

The Bobcats (9-25) gave up 60 points in the first half and couldn't catch up, falling 112-102 to the Jazz at Time Warner Cable Arena.
