CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte 49ers have unveiled a crisp white helmet speckled with green as the official headgear of their new football program.
Charlotte coach Brad Lambert says the program put a lot of effort into highlighting the school's brand and adds that the 49ers logo "really pops off this helmet." The logo is on both sides of the helmet.
CHARLOTTE — IndyCar Series driver Alex Tagliani has added a NASCAR race to his schedule — the Nationwide Series race at Montreal.
Tagliani will drive the No. 30 Chevrolet for Turner Motorsports. The Canadian driver is a fan favorite at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, and finished second in last year's race.
