After selling cookie dough and popcorn, the Bunker Hill volleyball team decided to try a different approach to fundraisers.

The Lady Bears are holding an outdoor volleyball tournament next week under the lights.

Hickory bounces Henderson County, 11-6

Hickory Post 48 bounced back from its first loss in the Area IV West Division play with an 11-6 road victory against Henderson County Post 77 on Wednesday.

Post 48 (9-2, 7-1) scored three runs in the third on a Colton Chapman homer to tie the contest after trailing 3-0. Chapman went 3-for-6 in Wednesday's game, including two singles and three RBIs.
