"Senior Night" is a special moment for high school students, but for the Fred T. Foard football team, it is a night they want to forget.
St. Stephens running back Marcus Payne scored four touchdowns to lead the Indians to a 35-13 win over the host Tigers on Friday night in Newton.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss the next two races with his second concussion in the past six weeks, ending the championship chances of NASCAR's most popular driver.
The first concussion, suffered in a crash during an Aug. 29 tire test at Kansas, went undiagnosed until Wednesday, when Earnhardt was examined in Charlotte for lingering effects from Sunday's crash at Talladega.

Panthers announced Wednesday that Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil is out for the season after suffering a left foot injury.
Kalil was injured in Carolina's 16-12 loss to Seattle, although he continued playing.
Kalil went to see Dr. James Anderson on Tuesday and it was determined he had a Lisfranc injury â€” torn a ligament that supports the middle of his foot.
Super Bowl champion and Washington Redskins Ring of Fame member Joe Theismann visited Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Conover on Tuesday.
Theismann took part in the 10th Annual Dale Jarrett Celebrity Shootout â€” part of the 10th Anniversary Greater Hickory Classic week.
