Blue Devils hold off late surge by Bears

After going up 2-0 in its conference opener Monday, the Maiden soccer team held off a late charge by Bunker Hill to win on the road, 3-2.

“When we can come on the road and get a win, it is always good for us,” said Maiden coach Dennis Ly. “I told my team if we scored early, we’d put them on their heels. We hung on. We played tough in the second half.”
