Trojans clinch second straight CVAC title

May 4, 2011

The Bandys softball team honored three seniors on Wednesday in the best possible way — winning.

The Lady Trojans (13-1) shutout Bunker Hill on Wednesday, and in the process, clinched their second straight CVAC title.

Before the game, the team honored its seniors — Katie Carpenter, Kailee Punch and Kelsey Clark.

“Before we started this game, I showed them a picture of when they were 9 years old on a travel team,” said Trojans coach Mike Carpenter. “It was right after we won our first tournament. It brought back memories because all three of them were on that team.”
