CHARLOTTE â€” Police are investigating the reported theft of four guns worth $1,700 from a pickup truck owned by Carolina Panthers backup linebacker Kion Wilson.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg says in a report that Wilson reported robbers broke into his F250 truck. He says they stole a FN 57 handgun, a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun, a Glock 23, and a Smith and Wesson Body Guard 380.
Wilson said he discovered the break-in while driving after stopping at store parking lot near Northlake Mall on Monday.
Police say the door lock on the truck was also damaged.
CHARLOTTE â€”Â N.C. State sophomore cornerback David Amerson wasn't thinking about breaking records coming into the season.
He ended up shattering one few thought would ever fall.
Amerson had two interceptions Tuesday night â€” one that he returned 65 yards for a touchdown and another with 41 seconds left that sealed the Wolfpack's 31-24 victory over Louisville in the Belk Bowl â€” to give him an ACC record 13 for the season.
Former North Carolina star Dre' Bly set the previous mark of 11 in 1996.
