Harold Brantley Cline, 95, of Gastonia, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, at home in Gastonia. McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia assisted the family of Cline with arrangements.

Alma Sipe Mundy Bentley, 90, of Catawba, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. The family will receive friends from 1:45-2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mildred Ray Burns Ball, 87, of Hickory, was surrounded by her family and released her hand into her Lord and savior on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at her residence. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Betty Blackwell Schrum, 86, quietly departed this life Oct. 2, 2010, at Montereau Retirement Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Theresa Marie LaMarre, 72, of Hickory, formerly of North Adams, Mass., died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. A memorial service was held Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with the Rev. Gary Patterson officiating.

Charles Ralph “Charlie” Christopher, 53, of the Mountain View Community, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Sept. 27, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley, following a month long stay at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30–3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Emmitt Mitchell, 99, of Taylorsville, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at the Taylorsville House. Adams Funeral Home and cremation service is in charge of arrangements.
