Seniors workout with Silver Sneakers

Seniors in Newton have a new place they can go workout.

The Perfect Workout, located in downtown, was recently accredited as a Healthway Silver Sneaker Fitness location.

"Be careful," Charles Laney, owner of Laney Airport in Maiden, said to James Thomas as he headed towards his home-built aircraft on Sunday.

Laney said that Thomas kept his plane there at the airport and was a regular of their small business.

Logan Bearfield, of Conover, graduated with the class of 2014 at Lenoir-Rhyne University’s commencement last Friday night, adorned with honor cords of all colors.

Alan Jones, Steve Boudrow and Dixon Hucks all work for Jones Sign Co., of Sherrills Ford., painting the infield grass for Charlotte Motor Speedway.
