A partnership between Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) and the District Attorney for Burke, Catawba and Caldwell counties will cut down on the time it takes to process alcohol related DWI cases.
A contract signed in early November means that blood from these cases will now be tested at CVMC instead of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) laboratory.
MAIDEN â€” A Maiden man was convicted of eight felonies in Catawba County Criminal Superior Court.

A philanthropic Newton couple who work together and share an interest in live theatre performed locally for the youngsters and adults of Newton and Catawba County are giving the community an early Christmas present of major proportion.
