CLAREMONT â€” One Claremont police officer is suffering bruises while another was seeing a specialist Wednesday after the two men were injured during a chase Tuesday evening.
The chase began as a routine traffic stop for stolen tags near the intersection of Cobbs Drive and North Lookout Street.
NEWTON â€” Newton Police have charged a Maiden man with holding up the Hess-Wilco gas station/convenience store on U.S. 321-Business in Newton, and firing shots at a witness' vehicle.
Dimitris Rashawn Williams, 21, of 307 S. D. Ave. in Maiden, was taken into custody Wednesday, according to multiple sources.
Williams faces several sets of charges in the incident, according to county records.
