A Hickory pastor was arrested Monday and charged with indecent liberties with a child following a police investigation, a Newton Police Department release states.
According to the release, Bradley William Moss, 38, of Newton, was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center with a $100,000 bond. His first appearance in court, the release states, is Wednesday.

Newton-Conover City Schools are still in the process of developing a budget for a proposed new school building.
Assistant Superintendent David Stegall said the school board is still working on revising its budget and reviewing bids before a final decision is made.
NC Highway Patrol reports drugs and cash were found on the scene of last Sunday’s fatal motorcycle wreck on U.S. 321.
Driver John Franklin, 35, of Claremont, was carrying $1,714 in cash on him when the motorcycle he was driving crashed, NC Highway Patrol Sgt. J. Womack said.
