With new state regulations on healthy meal options for students, school lunch is getting a facelift. Catawba County Child Nutrition Director Valda Robinson is working with Eat Smart Move More NC and Catawba County Health Partners to improve thecounty schools’ lunch menus.
While the rest of the county takes a breath for Labor Day, Catawba County police officers are volunteering to serve at the Democratic National Convention. The convention festivities start Sept. 3 and continue until Sept. 6. During the week speakers, and visitors will flood Charlotte and Catawba County police will be there to protect and monitor the scene.
