December 4, 2011

A man crashed into a sobriety checkpoint early Sunday morning in Newton.

Police say a man driving a 1989 Chevrolet Camaro crashed into a mobile breath-alcohol testing unit, or BATMobile, about 2:40 a.m. Sunday morning in Newton.

The crash sent the driver to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt in the accident.

Investigators believe that alcohol contributed to the wreck.
