Historical Association director bids farewell

The executive director of the Catawba County Historical Association for the past eight and a half years, Melinda Herzog, has resigned to accept a similar post with the Statesville-based Iredell Museums, according to an announcement today from Sybil Baird Stewart, president of the CCHA.

Girl Scout Cookies have arrived

High school students to use 10-point scale

The North Carolina State Board of Education has made the decision to transition all N.C. high school students from the 7-point grading scale to the 10-point grading scale, making the cutoff for a grade ‘A’ 90 points instead of 93.
