The death of a woman in Newton on Saturday morning is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Newton Police Department.
Maggie Daniels, 31, was found dead in her apartment at W. 17th Street in Newton at 10:37 a.m. on Saturday.
After a preliminary autopsy, a medical examiner suspects "foul play" is involved.

On Thursday June 26, Joshua Paul Wilson of 1918 Ellick Drive Newton, NC 28658 was charged with 2 Counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. The charges stem from a robbery on April 4th at BB&T bank in Maiden, and May 20th at BB&T in Claremont. Also, Wilson has warrants for Robber with a Dangerous Weapon that occurred on June 13th at BB&T in Valdese.
