Catawba Valley Community College announced the â€śOur School, Our Brandâ€ť campaign this week in which a new mascot will be selected to represent CVCC.
The new brand at CVCC looks to embody all of the past and future success of CVCC and the Catawba Valley area through the naming of a new mascot.
Katherine â€śKittyâ€ť Barnes announced Wednesday that she will seek another term as a Catawba County Commissioner.
In her 28 years of public service, Barnes has been a member of both the Catawba County Board of Commissioners and Board of Education. She has been a strong advocate for Catawba County citizens at the regional, state and federal levels of government.
