Loudermelt resigns after 10 years on N-CCS Board

The Newton-Conover City Schools Board of Education is seeking a new member after Scott Loudermelt resigned on Thursday.

Loudermelt was one of the longest tenured board members, having served the Conover district for the past 10 years. His first day on the N-CCS Board was Dec. 1, 2003.

Seniors stand tall, Red Devils clinch SD-7 title

Six seniors have been the driving force for the Newton-Conover wrestling team this season.

On Friday night, they honored the program the only way they knew how — winning.

The Red Devils won 11 of their 13 matches against West Caldwell, clinching the Southern District 7 Athletic 2A championship with a 54-9 victory against the Warriors.
